OUR STORY
Built on Three Decades of Security Expertise
Robert Oprea founded BGS in Europe in 1994. Our U.S. company, BGS Security, was established in New Jersey in 2021, bringing more than 30 years of security industry experience to local homeowners and businesses. What began as a vision to offer professional, personalized security services has grown into a security company focused on personalized protection and long-term client relationships.
Our management team's experience spans residential and commercial security operations across multiple countries — designing, installing, and managing security systems for properties ranging from private residences to large-scale commercial facilities. That depth of knowledge informs every assessment, every installation, and every monitoring decision we make for our clients.
We established BGS Security because we saw a gap in the market. Homeowners throughout the region deserved better than the one-size-fits-all packages offered by national chains — they deserved professional-grade equipment, licensed local technicians, and a security partner who actually knew their neighborhood.
