What Can BGS Security Protect in Darien?
Built for Waterfront Estates
Darien's Tokeneke and Pear Tree Point properties often include private docks, boathouses, and pool houses spread across shoreline lots. BGS Security designs systems that cover every structure and the full waterline, not just the main residence.
From the private shoreline enclaves of Tokeneke to the historic homes near Noroton Heights, BGS Security designs systems built for Darien's waterfront and near-waterfront properties.
-
Driveways, gates, and outdoor access points — outdoor detectors can alert you when someone enters a configured protection zone, before they reach the house.
-
Doors and windows — door and window sensors, with arming settings that fit your family’s routine, all reporting to 24/7 alarm monitoring.
-
Cameras — see what triggered an alert; we tell you plainly which cameras can raise an alarm in your setup, and our own technicians handle the installation.
-
Shops, offices and other business premises in Darien — the same intrusion detection, cameras and monitored alarms, set up around your opening hours and who holds access.
What Do BGS Security Customers Say?
★★★★★
Manu Mathew
BGS Security did an outstanding job repairing and upgrading my outdated camera system. Brandon, the technician, was a pleasure to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable about security cameras and related software, and he took the time to thoroughly understand the issues before resolving them. Rob helped identify my existing system and determined which cameras were compatible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and reliable security camera professionals.

I am the owner of a private medical office in Norwich, Connecticut, and I am more than pleased that I switched my business security services from my previous provider to BGS. The service is outstanding, and the price is right. The person who installed the service was very professional, and the call center is very quick in answering any calls. They are always very courteous. I strongly recommend BGS for security services — the best that I’ve ever had.

Outstanding company in Monmouth County. The BGS Security team arrived on time, completed a very clean installation, and made sure every camera angle was perfect. I especially appreciate that they customized the system around our property instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. We felt like we actually mattered. If you’re looking for honest advice, high quality equipment, and great service, BGS Security is the one.
Devin Auriana
After getting quotes from several companies, BGS Security stood out because they focused on what we actually needed instead of trying to sell unnecessary equipment. The installation was clean, the cameras are crystal clear, and the mobile app is incredibly easy to use. Their customer service has been outstanding every time we’ve called. Great experience from start to finish.
Caitlin Purcell
I love this security system for its features and ease of use. I feel safe and secure when I am both home and away. Any time I have a question they are very fast to respond, which I truly appreciate.

We chose BGS to protect our home when we moved for a multitude of reasons — first was the vibe we got from their management: very friendly and dedicated to meeting our needs at a great price point. The install was seamless and the equipment was cutting edge. Their customer service truly sets them apart from the rest.

As a customer, I can honestly share that BGS delivers on what they promise. Savage Wonder Art Center opened a new entertainment venue in Beacon, NY, under a tight time crunch and BGS played a very key service role. Highly recommend!!!

BGS Security comes in with all their expertise. With very knowledgeable professionals, they will assess your security needs and tailor a security plan to fit those needs perfectly. The most impressive is the quality of the latest equipment — it feels almost like in a Bond movie. I always know if someone is on my property way before they reach the door.
Robert Popescu
A great company, with a proven decades-long track record. Courteous, prompt, reasonable and efficient — they will create and customize your security systems to your individual requirements, residential or commercial.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. My car got broken into in my own driveway and my old security system did not capture any of it. Called up BGS and spoke to Rob. He came to my house within an hour of hanging up and set me up properly. Found my blind spots and gave me exactly what I needed at a much better price point. Recommended Rob and BGS to my next door neighbor and they did the same for him!
Mihaela Ungureanu
Professional, reliable and responsive. Outstanding service.
Christopher Rold
Great operation! The attention to detail is far beyond expectation. The equipment used was of the highest quality. I recommend them highly!
Nadine Post
Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. All around excellent service.
Terry Dugan
The entire process from deciding on a system to installation was flawless. They took out the old ADT system and cleaned up after. The walk through and setup were well done. Getting a serious “good customer service” vibe, including checking in after the installation.
What makes securing a home different in Darien?
Darien is a narrow shoreline town on Long Island Sound, where private waterfront communities like Tokeneke and Pear Tree Point sit alongside historic homes closer to the Post Road and rail corridor. Protecting these properties calls for coverage that handles long private drives and detached structures near the water, not a one-size approach borrowed from an inland suburb.
Darien is one of the narrowest towns on the Connecticut shoreline, its Long Island Sound waterfront broken into private peninsulas and coves like Tokeneke and Pear Tree Point, where homes sit on deep lots with private docks and long drives set back from the road. Further inland, near Noroton Heights and the Post Road corridor, historic homes and newer construction sit closer together on a more traditional suburban grid.
Waterfront properties in Tokeneke and Pear Tree Point face salt air corrosion, storm-driven power outages, and detached structures like boathouses and pool houses that extend a home's footprint well beyond the main residence, while inland Darien homes deal with the more familiar risks of driveway access and ground-floor entry points. BGS Security's security system installation in Darien is built for both — wireless equipment from Ajax Systems for shoreline homes, and perimeter and entry coverage further inland — backed by 24/7 central-station monitoring with cellular backup. BGS Security also serves nearby Greenwich — see our Greenwich service page for more on coverage across lower Fairfield County.
Locally, Darien's False Alarm Ordinance requires every alarm system to be registered with the town, with penalties for excessive false alarms billed within 30 days. BGS Security handles that registration on your behalf and configures every system to meet the town's requirements before activation.
