What Can BGS Security Protect in Blairstown?
Lake & Seasonal Homes
Cottages at Cedar Lake, Blair Lake and Lake Susquehanna can sit empty for weeks, where a break-in, frozen pipe or failed sump pump goes unnoticed. BGS Security pairs intrusion sensors with temperature and leak detection so the owner hears about trouble while it is still small.
From Victorian houses near Blair Academy to seasonal cottages at Cedar Lake and Lake Susquehanna, BGS Security designs systems for older construction, part-time occupancy and the long rural power lines of the Kittatinny Valley.
-
Driveways, gates, and outdoor access points — outdoor detectors can alert you when someone enters a configured protection zone, before they reach the house.
-
Doors and windows — door and window sensors, with arming settings that fit your family’s routine, all reporting to 24/7 alarm monitoring.
-
Cameras — see what triggered an alert; we tell you plainly which cameras can raise an alarm in your setup, and our own technicians handle the installation.
-
Fire, carbon monoxide and water — smoke, heat and CO detectors on fire alarm monitoring alongside intrusion; leak sensors alert you, and a compatible automatic shutoff valve can help limit damage when a leak is detected.
-
Shops, offices and other business premises in Blairstown — business security with intrusion detection, cameras and monitored alarms, set up around your opening hours and who holds access.
What Do BGS Security Customers Say?
★★★★★
Manu Mathew
BGS Security did an outstanding job repairing and upgrading my outdated camera system. Brandon, the technician, was a pleasure to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable about security cameras and related software, and he took the time to thoroughly understand the issues before resolving them. Rob helped identify my existing system and determined which cameras were compatible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and reliable security camera professionals.

I am the owner of a private medical office in Norwich, Connecticut, and I am more than pleased that I switched my business security services from my previous provider to BGS. The service is outstanding, and the price is right. The person who installed the service was very professional, and the call center is very quick in answering any calls. They are always very courteous. I strongly recommend BGS for security services — the best that I’ve ever had.
Lauren DiGiglio
Outstanding company in Monmouth County. The BGS Security team arrived on time, completed a very clean installation, and made sure every camera angle was perfect. I especially appreciate that they customized the system around our property instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. We felt like we actually mattered. If you’re looking for honest advice, high quality equipment, and great service, BGS Security is the one.
Devin Auriana
After getting quotes from several companies, BGS Security stood out because they focused on what we actually needed instead of trying to sell unnecessary equipment. The installation was clean, the cameras are crystal clear, and the mobile app is incredibly easy to use. Their customer service has been outstanding every time we’ve called. Great experience from start to finish.
Caitlin Purcell
I love this security system for its features and ease of use. I feel safe and secure when I am both home and away. Any time I have a question they are very fast to respond, which I truly appreciate.

We chose BGS to protect our home when we moved for a multitude of reasons — first was the vibe we got from their management: very friendly and dedicated to meeting our needs at a great price point. As a customer, I can honestly share that BGS delivers on what they promise. Savage Wonder Art Center opened a new entertainment venue in Beacon, NY, under a tight time crunch and BGS played a very key service role. Highly recommend!!!

BGS Security comes in with all their expertise. With very knowledgeable professionals, they will assess your security needs and tailor a security plan to fit those needs perfectly. The most impressive is the quality of the latest equipment — it feels almost like in a Bond movie. I always know if someone is on my property way before they reach the door.
Robert Popescu

I can’t say enough good things about this company. My car got broken into in my own driveway and my old security system did not capture any of it. Called up BGS and spoke to Rob. He came to my house within an hour of hanging up and set me up properly. Found my blind spots and gave me exactly what I needed at a much better price point. Recommended Rob and BGS to my next door neighbor and they did the same for him!
Mihaela Ungureanu

Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. All around excellent service.

The entire process from deciding on a system to installation was flawless. They took out the old ADT system and cleaned up after. The walk through and setup were well done. Getting a serious “good customer service” vibe, including checking in after the installation.
What makes securing a home different in Blairstown?
Blairstown is a 30-square-mile township in the Kittatinny Valley of northern Warren County, with a historic Main Street village on the Paulins Kill, a ring of small lake communities and wide stretches of woods and farmland along Route 94. Homes here are often far apart, some are lived in only part of the year, and many predate modern wiring.
Blairstown spreads across the Kittatinny Valley in northern Warren County, with the Paulins Kill winding past the village and Route 94 carrying traffic between Newton and the Delaware. The Main Street historic district, anchored by Blair Academy and the 1913 Roy's Hall theater, is lined with 19th-century frame and Victorian houses. Around it lie small lake communities — Cedar Lake, Blair Lake, Lake Susquehanna, Kalarama — with cottages close to the shore, and beyond them wooded lots and farms on long gravel drives. Many lake homes are seasonal, and country houses can sit far from any neighbor.
BGS Security shapes security system installation in Blairstown to that pattern: Ajax wireless sensors that avoid cable runs through old plaster and trim, freeze and leak detection for cottages left empty, and driveway and outbuilding coverage on rural lots. Every system is backed by 24/7 central-station monitoring over cellular with battery backup, since wooded valley lines lose power in storms. We also serve neighboring Knowlton and the rest of our service area.
Blairstown's Chapter 56 requires alarms to be registered with the Police Department and re-registered within 30 days of a sale. Burglar alarms must silence after 15 minutes, and false-alarm fines start at the third. BGS Security files the registration and sets the shut-off for you.
