What Can BGS Security Protect in Cresskill?
Hillside & Wooded Lots
Cresskill's eastern streets climb toward the Palisades, with homes on sloped, tree-lined lots where side and rear yards fall out of view of the street. BGS Security places outdoor detection and cameras where the terrain hides an approach, with wireless sensors that keep range across grade changes.
Cresskill packs a wide range of houses into two square miles — 18th-century homesteads on County Road, mid-century streets around the Camp Merritt monument and larger homes on the slopes toward Alpine — and BGS Security designs each system for the house in front of it.
-
Driveways, gates, and outdoor access points — outdoor detectors can alert you when someone enters a configured protection zone, before they reach the house.
-
Doors and windows — door and window sensors, with arming settings that fit your family’s routine, all reporting to 24/7 alarm monitoring.
-
Cameras — see what triggered an alert; we tell you plainly which cameras can raise an alarm in your setup, and our own technicians handle the installation.
-
Fire, carbon monoxide and water — smoke, heat and CO detectors on fire alarm monitoring alongside intrusion; leak sensors alert you, and a compatible automatic shutoff valve can help limit damage when a leak is detected.
-
Shops, offices and other business premises in Cresskill — business security with intrusion detection, cameras and monitored alarms, set up around your opening hours and who holds access.
What Do BGS Security Customers Say?
★★★★★
Manu Mathew
BGS Security did an outstanding job repairing and upgrading my outdated camera system. Brandon, the technician, was a pleasure to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable about security cameras and related software, and he took the time to thoroughly understand the issues before resolving them. Rob helped identify my existing system and determined which cameras were compatible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and reliable security camera professionals.

I am the owner of a private medical office in Norwich, Connecticut, and I am more than pleased that I switched my business security services from my previous provider to BGS. The service is outstanding, and the price is right. The person who installed the service was very professional, and the call center is very quick in answering any calls. They are always very courteous. I strongly recommend BGS for security services — the best that I’ve ever had.
Lauren DiGiglio
Outstanding company in Monmouth County. The BGS Security team arrived on time, completed a very clean installation, and made sure every camera angle was perfect. I especially appreciate that they customized the system around our property instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. We felt like we actually mattered. If you’re looking for honest advice, high quality equipment, and great service, BGS Security is the one.
Devin Auriana
After getting quotes from several companies, BGS Security stood out because they focused on what we actually needed instead of trying to sell unnecessary equipment. The installation was clean, the cameras are crystal clear, and the mobile app is incredibly easy to use. Their customer service has been outstanding every time we’ve called. Great experience from start to finish.
Caitlin Purcell
I love this security system for its features and ease of use. I feel safe and secure when I am both home and away. Any time I have a question they are very fast to respond, which I truly appreciate.

We chose BGS to protect our home when we moved for a multitude of reasons — first was the vibe we got from their management: very friendly and dedicated to meeting our needs at a great price point. The install was seamless and the equipment was cutting edge. Their customer service truly sets them apart from the rest.

As a customer, I can honestly share that BGS delivers on what they promise. Savage Wonder Art Center opened a new entertainment venue in Beacon, NY, under a tight time crunch and BGS played a very key service role. Highly recommend!!!

BGS Security comes in with all their expertise. With very knowledgeable professionals, they will assess your security needs and tailor a security plan to fit those needs perfectly. The most impressive is the quality of the latest equipment — it feels almost like in a Bond movie. I always know if someone is on my property way before they reach the door.
Robert Popescu

I can’t say enough good things about this company. My car got broken into in my own driveway and my old security system did not capture any of it. Called up BGS and spoke to Rob. He came to my house within an hour of hanging up and set me up properly. Found my blind spots and gave me exactly what I needed at a much better price point. Recommended Rob and BGS to my next door neighbor and they did the same for him!
Mihaela Ungureanu
Professional, reliable and responsive. Outstanding service.
Christopher Rold
Great operation! The attention to detail is far beyond expectation. The equipment used was of the highest quality. I recommend them highly!
Nadine Post
Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. All around excellent service.

The entire process from deciding on a system to installation was flawless. They took out the old ADT system and cleaned up after. The walk through and setup were well done. Getting a serious “good customer service” vibe, including checking in after the installation.
What makes securing a home different in Cresskill?
Cresskill is a compact Northern Valley borough named for the watercress that once grew in its streams, best known for the Camp Merritt Memorial Circle where more than a million World War I troops passed through. Its flat western streets of colonials and split-levels give way on the east to larger homes on wooded slopes below Alpine, so one approach does not fit the whole town.
Cresskill fits into about two square miles between Tenafly, Dumont and Demarest, with Knickerbocker Road and County Road running north–south and the Camp Merritt Memorial Circle marking its border with Dumont. The western streets are flat blocks of colonials, Cape Cods and split-levels built through the 20th century; County Road still has 18th-century homesteads such as the Peter Huyler and Westervelt houses. East of the center the ground rises toward Alpine and the Palisades, and the homes get larger, set on sloped, wooded lots where rear yards and side doors are hidden from the street.
Our security system installation in Cresskill matches that range: wireless entry and glass-break sensors for older houses, outdoor detection and cameras for hillside lots, and doorbell and driveway cameras for homes close to the street. Every system is backed by 24/7 central-station monitoring with cellular and battery backup. We also serve neighboring Tenafly, Demarest and Dumont.
Locally, Cresskill's Chapter 69 requires a written permit from the Chief of Police before any alarm is installed, with a $30 registration renewed by January 15 each year. False alarms are fined from the sixth in a calendar year, and storm or power-failure alarms are not charged. BGS Security files the permit and registration for you and configures the system to the ordinance before activation.
