Hillsborough is Somerset County's largest township by area — colonial and split-level subdivisions from the 1980s onward around Route 206 and the new bypass, townhome communities, the historic villages of Neshanic Station, Flagtown and Belle Mead, and farmhouses and horse properties on the wooded slopes of the Sourland Mountain.
