Alpine is New Jersey's easternmost town — a small borough of large estates spread across the top of the Palisades, with Palisades Interstate Park running the length of its Hudson River edge. Homes sit far apart on wooded acreage, often behind gates, so protection here depends on perimeter detection, driveway coverage and communication that keeps working when the power does not.
Alpine runs along the top of the Palisades as the easternmost town in New Jersey — Palisades Interstate Park and the Hudson River cliffs form its eastern edge, with Route 9W and the Parkway running through. Only a few hundred homes share more than six square miles of land, from the Rio Vista section in the south to wooded estates set far back from Closter Dock Road. Most sit behind gates and long private drives, surrounded by mature trees and parkland, with pool houses, garages and guest quarters spread across the grounds — long, quiet approaches with few neighbors in sight.
