What makes securing a property different in Belmar?
Belmar sits on the south bank of the Shark River with the Atlantic and a mile of boardwalk to the east, Route 35 and Route 71 running through it and a municipal marina on the river. About a third of its housing stands vacant outside the season, and its Main Street and boardwalk businesses carry the town through the summer — a mix that needs security built for rental turnover, seasonal vacancy and coastal flooding.
Belmar occupies the south bank of the Shark River, with the ocean and boardwalk to the east, Lake Como and Spring Lake to the south and Wall Township inland; Route 35 and Route 71 cross it and the Coast Line stops at Belmar station.
