What Can BGS Security Protect in Middlesex?
Water, Power & Intrusion
Middlesex Borough's brook-side blocks have seen basements flood and power fail in the same storm. BGS Security pairs intrusion coverage with water sensors, optional automatic shut-off valves, and cellular and battery backup so the system reports what's happening when the grid and the phone line don't.
Middlesex Borough's homes sit between the Watchung ridge and two flood-prone brooks, and BGS Security designs systems that keep working through the storms and outages that come with that ground.
-
Driveways, gates, and outdoor access points — outdoor detectors can alert you when someone enters a configured protection zone, before they reach the house.
-
Doors and windows — door and window sensors, with arming settings that fit your family’s routine, all reporting to 24/7 alarm monitoring.
-
Cameras — see what triggered an alert; we tell you plainly which cameras can raise an alarm in your setup, and our own technicians handle the installation.
-
Fire, carbon monoxide and water — smoke, heat and CO detectors on fire alarm monitoring alongside intrusion; leak sensors alert you, and a compatible automatic shutoff valve can help limit damage when a leak is detected.
-
Shops, offices and other business premises in Middlesex — business security with intrusion detection, cameras and monitored alarms, set up around your opening hours and who holds access.
What Do BGS Security Customers Say?
★★★★★
Manu Mathew
BGS Security did an outstanding job repairing and upgrading my outdated camera system. Brandon, the technician, was a pleasure to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable about security cameras and related software, and he took the time to thoroughly understand the issues before resolving them. Rob helped identify my existing system and determined which cameras were compatible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and reliable security camera professionals.

I am the owner of a private medical office in Norwich, Connecticut, and I am more than pleased that I switched my business security services from my previous provider to BGS. The service is outstanding, and the price is right. The person who installed the service was very professional, and the call center is very quick in answering any calls. They are always very courteous. I strongly recommend BGS for security services — the best that I’ve ever had.

Outstanding company in Monmouth County. The BGS Security team arrived on time, completed a very clean installation, and made sure every camera angle was perfect. I especially appreciate that they customized the system around our property instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. We felt like we actually mattered. If you’re looking for honest advice, high quality equipment, and great service, BGS Security is the one.
Devin Auriana
After getting quotes from several companies, BGS Security stood out because they focused on what we actually needed instead of trying to sell unnecessary equipment. The installation was clean, the cameras are crystal clear, and the mobile app is incredibly easy to use. Their customer service has been outstanding every time we’ve called. Great experience from start to finish.
Caitlin Purcell
I love this security system for its features and ease of use. I feel safe and secure when I am both home and away. Any time I have a question they are very fast to respond, which I truly appreciate.

We chose BGS to protect our home when we moved for a multitude of reasons — first was the vibe we got from their management: very friendly and dedicated to meeting our needs at a great price point. The install was seamless and the equipment was cutting edge. Their customer service truly sets them apart from the rest.

As a customer, I can honestly share that BGS delivers on what they promise. Savage Wonder Art Center opened a new entertainment venue in Beacon, NY, under a tight time crunch and BGS played a very key service role. Highly recommend!!!

BGS Security comes in with all their expertise. With very knowledgeable professionals, they will assess your security needs and tailor a security plan to fit those needs perfectly. The most impressive is the quality of the latest equipment — it feels almost like in a Bond movie. I always know if someone is on my property way before they reach the door.
Robert Popescu
A great company, with a proven decades-long track record. Courteous, prompt, reasonable and efficient — they will create and customize your security systems to your individual requirements, residential or commercial.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. My car got broken into in my own driveway and my old security system did not capture any of it. Called up BGS and spoke to Rob. He came to my house within an hour of hanging up and set me up properly. Found my blind spots and gave me exactly what I needed at a much better price point. Recommended Rob and BGS to my next door neighbor and they did the same for him!
Mihaela Ungureanu
Professional, reliable and responsive. Outstanding service.
Christopher Rold
Great operation! The attention to detail is far beyond expectation. The equipment used was of the highest quality. I recommend them highly!
Nadine Post
Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. All around excellent service.

The entire process from deciding on a system to installation was flawless. They took out the old ADT system and cleaned up after. The walk through and setup were well done. Getting a serious “good customer service” vibe, including checking in after the installation.
What makes securing a home different in Middlesex Borough?
Middlesex is a three-and-a-half-square-mile borough on the Somerset County line, built out after the war with capes, ranches, and split-levels on modest lots in sections like Lincoln, Beechwood Heights, and East Bound Brook, with Route 28 and Lincoln Boulevard carrying its commerce. Its low-lying streets near the Bound Brook and Green Brook have flooded in the region's worst storms, so a security system here has to handle water and power loss as seriously as intrusion.
Middlesex Borough sits at the northwestern corner of Middlesex County, pressed against Bound Brook, Green Brook Township, and Bridgewater, with the first ridge of the Watchung Mountains in view from Mountain View Park. Route 28 is its spine and Lincoln Boulevard its working street. The housing is almost entirely postwar — capes, ranches, and split-levels on quarter-acre lots in sections like Lincoln, Beechwood Heights, and East Bound Brook, with two-family homes nearer the old railroad line. The ground is the issue here: the Bound Brook and Green Brook run along the borough's edges, and its lowest streets have flooded in the region's worst storms, taking basements and electrical service with them.
BGS Security's security system installation in Middlesex pairs entry and motion coverage built around sliding doors and attached garages with water sensors in the basement, an optional automatic shut-off valve, and cellular and battery backup so 24/7 central-station monitoring continues when the power and internet go out. We also serve neighboring Dunellen and Piscataway, and nearby South Bound Brook.
Locally, Chapter 117 of the Middlesex Borough Code requires privately installed burglary, robbery, and fire alarm systems to be registered with the Middlesex Borough Police Department, with a one-time fee of $25 for a single residential alarm and $50 for commercial properties or multi-unit buildings. BGS Security files the registration for you and lists the borough police with the monitoring center before activation.
