Roxbury is a 22-square-mile township in western Morris County made up of named sections that residents use instead of the township name: Succasunna and Ledgewood in the center, Kenvil and Port Morris to the west, Lower Berkshire Valley to the north, and Landing on the southern shore of Lake Hopatcong. Interstate 80, Routes 46, 206 and 10 all cross it, which brings a regional retail strip and commuter traffic to a town of mid-century subdivisions and lake cottages.
Roxbury is a township of sections. Succasunna and Ledgewood, in the center, are mostly mid-century subdivisions of split-levels, ranches and colonials, with the Roxbury Mall and Ledgewood's shopping centers anchoring the Route 10 retail strip where Routes 10, 46 and 206 meet below Interstate 80. Kenvil and Port Morris to the west are older, tighter neighborhoods along Route 46 and the old Lackawanna rail yards. Landing, on the southern shore of Lake Hopatcong, is lake cottages converted to year-round homes on steep, narrow lots, with docks, winding roads and the NJ Transit station at the lake.
